What Could You Accomplish if You Stopped Second-Guessing Yourself?

Self-sabotage is actually self-protection rooted in fear. This can feel so shaming, I know.

But, it’s not your fault!

My hope for this blog is that you will begin to see how powerful you are regardless of how insidious your fear is.

You see, self-sabotage simply means that you’re not wanting to do the “right” thing for your higher self because then your life will move in directions that are unfamiliar to you – like huge success, deep love, endless travel – whatever your big dream is intending for you.

Self-sabotage sounds so ugly because it’s misunderstood. It’s actually you loving yourself and protecting yourself, but it’s misguided.

Why? Because the truth is you are already safe.

Think of it this way...

You’re in a classroom. The entire class loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. You don’t like peanut butter. You say the words out loud. The class mocks you and scorns you. You learn in that moment, without anyone saying it, that voicing your opinion is scary and will only make people not like you.

If we aren’t careful, these scenarios and the ideas we form around them, stay with us. Later, when we are fully grown, someone asks our opinion and we don’t have one, or worse, we lie to avoid the pain of being scorned.

This is how self-sabotage is formed.

You may be thinking, “Yea, I know this already.” Okay, but are you still self-sabotaging?

Do you…

  • Binge eat

  • Ignore self-care

  • Procrastinate

  • Stay overwhelmed

  • Ignore the actions you know you should take

  • Run around in frenzied action feeling borderline crazy

  • Feel tension in your body

  • Feel anxious and paralyzed…

Or, are you so deep into self-sabotage that you won’t even allow yourself to be honest with yourself?

This is a door to awareness. In awareness we can finally see what needs to change.

What transformation do you need in your own life right now?

If you’re ready, I’m here. Let’s talk.

All my love and support,

Allyson
